This platform is very powerful, so it's probably a good idea to avoid possible hazardous situations.
As long as the feet are placed normally on the pedals, there is no problem.
However, one might slip off of the pedals during heavy movements, or just leisurely move around while not using the pedals. If the foot gets between the moving pedal base and the front actuator, things might get pretty messy and painful in extreme situations, when the pedal base gets close to the actuator.
I therefore built these two brackets...
...painted them black and mounted them on both sides of the pedals (luckily there were extra holes for the screws).
There has been a "close encounter" before during testing. No harm (other than this scratch) was done, but if I had my foot in between, I would probably be limping now.
