Base Frame

At the original building site the motion rig was mounted directly to the (wooden) floor. While that is certainly the best way to do it, this was not an option at my place. So I had to build a base frame that holds the lower bearings for the actuators.

The frame consists of three aluminium profiles [1] sized 40x40x1600mm and three sized 80x40x300mm.
The long profiles are used without any further modifications. The short ones have four holes drilled into them, the outer two with an M8 thread to mount the adjustable feet [2] (by the time I ordered them there was the option of getting 6 of them), the inner two with 8mm diameter to allow the two screws [3] to hold the black mounting plate and the profiles together. The screws end in nuts [4] that are inserted in the channels of the 40x40mm profiles.
The long and short profiles are held together by steel brackets [5].
Plastic caps 80x40mm [6] and 40x40mm [7] at the ends of the profiles.
Cable ducts mounted [8] to the profiles to hide the motor cables. The gap is where the control box will sit.
