There are quite a few cables connecting everything around the platform.
Using zip ties for proper cable management might seem like a good idea at first,
but if you need to take something off for, e.g. maintenance, you always have to
cut them off and use new ones to later reattach the cables. Plus, you can only
use them in places where you can tie them around something, not on a larger flat surface.
So after having cut off all the zip ties I initially applied, because I needed to rearrange
things, I used self-adhesive cable clips [1].
| Self-adhesive clips holding cables to the frame. |
| All the cables going from the moving part of the platform to the base. |
| Velcro tape [2] holds the cables together. |
| Excess cable lengths hide neatly between the control boxes. |
| I used self-adhesive velcro tape [3]
to keep the SRS ShakeKit control box in place (same for the USB hub). |
